Position: Career Head Resident-Men’s Residence Hall Alford-Conerly Hall
Job Description: The head residents are student advocates who reside within and administer the residence halls. Head Residents administer the units: Check-in and Check-out, maintenance and housekeeping reporting, enforcing regulations, facilitating activities, and report to the Director of Student Activities and Housing. Head residents will comply with all policies, procedures, and conditions printed in the current edition of the Southwest Mississippi Community College Student Handbook, the Housing Reservation Application, and the College Catalog, the Employee Handbook, the written and verbal expectations provided by the Director of Student Activities and Housing, and the Vice-President for Student Affairs.
Position: Food Service Worker
Job Description: Southwest Mississippi Community College is seeking individuals to work in our Food Service Department. Hours 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Must be able to work weekends. Full and part-time positions are available.
Position: HVAC Specialist-2
Job Description: Maintains and follows a safe, productive, cost effective, and comprehensively-planned preventive and corrective maintenance program for constant reliable operation of HVAC systems. Assists with estimating the time and cost of service work to be performed. Takes personal initiative to identify and correct any problems and to develop strong customer service practices. Performs administrative tasks including maintaining and completing accurate daily time sheets, documenting work orders on all scheduled and emergency repairs, assisting with inventory control, and attending meetings and training events related to customer service, safety, and continuous improvement. Provides some on-call support for HVAC systems on campus. Assists with other duties as assigned.
