Students will learn basic vocabulary words and expressions readily used in Spanish speaking countries.

  • Introduction to Microsoft Excel 8:00AM-1:00PM (5 hours) 0.5 CEU $40

In this introductory course to Excel, participants will explore Excel activities that go beyond the basic. After successful completion of this session, participants can expect to have the skills required to work efficiently in an existing worksheet and to also create new worksheets from a template and from scratch.

Topics Include:

Create a basic worksheet by entering text, values, and formulas.

Change the appearance of worksheet data by using a variety of formatting techniques.

Create formulas by using some of Excel's built-in functions.

Filter and sort Excel data.

Plan, create, and modify charts.

Prepare a document for printing by using a variety of printing options.

This course is for teachers new to Google Apps for Education who want to learn how to be more productive in a school environment with all Google apps, docs sheets, slides, forms, and google sites. The instructor for this course is a Certified Level 2 Google Educator.

  • American Heart Association Basic CPR/FA/AED 9:00AM-4:00PM (6 hours) 0.6 CEU $65

Teaches student's critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults and children. Also covers what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults and children. This course also teaches skills with the AHA's research-proven practice-while watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students' learning of skills. This course provides a two year certification through the American Heart Association.
