Library-Learning Resources Center
The Library-Learning Resources Center (LLRC) provides resources and services that support the educational needs and interests of the Southwest Mississippi Community College district. Access to information is provided through print, media, computer-assisted instructional materials and telecommunication technologies.
The LLRC houses approximately 36,000 volumes of books. Over 95 hard copy format periodicals including magazines, journals, and newspapers makeup the library’s collections.

WebCat
WebCat is the library’s World Wide Web Public Access Catalog. WebCat provides a World Wide Web home page for the library which easily guides users to the library’s catalog, to other sources in the library, and to other sites outside the library on the World Wide Web.
Literature Online
Literature Online is a fully searchable library of more than 350,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, 147 full-text literature journals, and other key criticism and reference resources.
MELO
Mississippi Electronic Libraries Online (MELO) is a virtual library developed in March 2000 to meet academic resource needs of distance learning within the Mississippi community and junior colleges. It is an electronic environment that mirrors the traditional library through online databases, electronic books and journals, and scholarly web sites.
Yearbook Archives
The William C. and Lula B. Ford Library at Southwest Mississippi Community College has had the entire collection of the college’s yearbooks, Whispering Pines, digitized and made available for public access. Yearbooks are available from 1933 through 2018, excluding 1943-1946 when yearbooks were not printed due to the war years. Volumes were scanned cover to cover and pages are available to print in the highest resolution possible.
